MWM / Deutz Marine Fuel Injection Systems

Mechanical Injection-Pump Overhaul, Calibration, Injector Service and Obsolete-Parts Support for Long-Life Marine Diesel Engines

MWM and Deutz marine engines cover several generations of mechanical fuel-injection technology. The correct injection pump cannot be identified reliably from the engine brand alone. Cylinder count, rated power, speed, year, engine version and application all influence the installed system. Our workshop therefore identifies every project from the actual engine and pump data before repair begins.

Our marine service is not limited to one pump manufacturer or one engine family. Depending on pump design, condition, technical documentation, spare-parts availability and suitable test-bench adaptation, we assess, overhaul, repair and calibrate mechanical fuel injection pumps from Bosch, LÓrange (also searched as L'Orange), Kugelfischer and other manufacturers. We accept enquiries for mechanical fuel-injection equipment used on all categories of marine engines operating either at fixed speed or across a variable speed range, including main propulsion, auxiliary, generator and other shipboard duties. Common Rail systems are not part of this service scope.

TBD604 - Bosch P10 Applications

For the MWM / Deutz TBD604 family, our work includes mechanical Bosch P10 injection-pump applications used across several cylinder configurations. The exact pump is verified from its type plate, Bosch number and MWM / Deutz reference before calibration data are selected.

TBD620 and TCD2020 - Bosch P9 or P10 Depending on Version

TBD620 and TCD2020 engines may use Bosch P9 or Bosch P10 injection pumps depending on the engine version. The designation must never be assigned from the engine family alone. Confirmed P9 references encountered in this environment include MWM / Deutz 12305948 and 12305950. P10 applications likewise exist in different specifications and must be identified by complete pump type and part number.

For V-engine installations, two pumps may operate as one injection system. Where mechanically coupled tandem arrangements are used, the two pumps may need to be evaluated not only individually but also in relation to one another.

TBD440 and TBD441 - LÓrange Marine Injection Systems

MWM TBD440 and TBD441 engines are associated with historical LÓrange mechanical injection systems. In marine nomenclature, B and S variants can relate to Backbord and Steuerbord - port and starboard - and the actual pump configuration must remain correctly assigned throughout dismantling, repair and reassembly. Online searches often use the spelling L'Orange; on this website we use LÓrange as the technical spelling.

Deutz 528 and 628

We also process suitable mechanical injection pumps from Deutz 528 and 628 applications, including SBV6M628, SBV8M628, SBV9M628, SBV12M628 and SBV16M628. On these engines the Woodward governor is separately mounted on the engine and is not part of the injection-pump delivery scope.

TBD232, TBD234, TBD616 and TCD2016

These engine families use their own mechanical injection-system configurations. They should not be grouped automatically with Bosch P9 or P10 systems. RP-series pump types such as RP21 or RP25 may occur in the wider application environment, but the exact relationship must be established from the installed pump and verified documentation rather than assumed from the engine designation.

Fixed-Speed and Variable-Speed MWM / Deutz Marine Applications

Our projects include variable-speed main-propulsion engines and fixed-speed auxiliary or generator applications. The operating duty affects the relevant calibration points and the technical evaluation. Engine speed, rated output and the required control range are therefore part of the initial enquiry.
