Send Your Marine Fuel Injection Pump to Germany for Repair
International Shipping, Workshop Intake and Repair-Return Preparation for Mechanical Injection Equipment
International distance should not prevent the overhaul of a valuable mechanical injection pump. We support shipowners, engine service companies, shipyards and technical purchasing departments with component repair projects sent to our workshop in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. The most important rule is simple: contact us before dispatch so that the technical scope and transport method can be coordinated.
Our marine service is not limited to one pump manufacturer or one engine family. Depending on pump design, condition, technical documentation, spare-parts availability and suitable test-bench adaptation, we assess, overhaul, repair and calibrate mechanical fuel injection pumps from Bosch, LÓrange (also searched as L'Orange), Kugelfischer and other manufacturers. We accept enquiries for mechanical fuel-injection equipment used on all categories of marine engines operating either at fixed speed or across a variable speed range, including main propulsion, auxiliary, generator and other shipboard duties. Common Rail systems are not part of this service scope.
Step 1 - Technical Acceptance Before Shipping
Do not send an unidentified pump without prior agreement. First provide photographs, engine data and the pump identification. This allows us to determine whether the unit is within our technical scope and whether special fixtures, historical data or spare-parts research may be required.
Step 2 - Drain and Secure the Equipment
Fuel injection equipment must be prepared for transport so that no free fuel can leak into the packaging. External openings should be protected against dirt and moisture without introducing foreign material into precision passages. Heavy pumps must be secured against movement and impact. Original control levers, linkages and attached parts should be protected from bending loads.
Step 3 - Use Appropriate Packaging
Small pumps and injector sets may be suitable for robust crate or parcel shipment, while large inline pumps and tandem systems generally require a stable pallet or transport frame. The component should be supported at strong structural points and protected from corrosion and weather during transit.
Step 4 - Prepare Accurate Commercial and Customs Documentation
For shipments crossing customs borders, the documents should clearly describe the goods as used mechanical diesel fuel-injection equipment being sent for inspection, repair or overhaul. The exact customs procedure, declared value, duties, temporary-export treatment and re-import requirements depend on the countries involved. Customers should coordinate these points with their carrier or customs broker. We can provide workshop and repair information needed for the transaction, but customs classification and local tax treatment remain country-specific.
Step 5 - Include the Technical Documentation Inside the Shipment
- customer and company contact details
- engine manufacturer and exact engine model
- pump manufacturer, type and part numbers
- fixed-speed or variable-speed application
- main propulsion, auxiliary or generator duty
- fault description and requested work
- purchase-order or project reference if applicable
- copies of relevant test sheets or calibration data
Step 6 - Incoming Inspection and Quotation
The internal condition of a historical mechanical pump cannot normally be determined from photographs. After technical acceptance and workshop arrival, the pump is documented and, where agreed, dismantled for inspection. The findings determine the required repair scope and the parts needed. A final repair quotation may therefore depend on dismantling.
Step 7 - Overhaul and Test-Bench Verification
Once approved, the pump is repaired and reassembled according to the confirmed work scope. Final test-bench work is carried out using verified pump data, engine-manufacturer information or other documented target values where available. Variable-speed and fixed-speed applications are treated according to their actual operating duty.
Step 8 - Return Shipment
After completion, the repaired equipment is prepared for return transport. International customers should ensure that the original export and repair documentation is retained, because it can be relevant to the return import process in their country.
Marine Pumps from Bosch, LÓrange, Kugelfischer and Other Manufacturers
International customers can enquire about mechanical fuel-injection pumps from Bosch, LÓrange, Kugelfischer and other manufacturers. We also support large and unusual marine pumps where ordinary local workshops may not have the required test capacity. Acceptance remains subject to identification, parts availability, data and suitable test-bench adaptation.
Export-Control and End-Use Review
For certain countries, operators or government-related applications, additional end-user, end-use, sanctions or export-control checks may be required before technical acceptance or shipment. Documentation requests are handled on a case-by-case basis.
